VENUE  Old Billingsgate

To produce a stage show and venue with a 1940s feel, in conjunction with managing all technical elements of the venue – including lighting, sound and video design.

Once again working in the familiar venue of Old Billingsgate Market, Imagine Believe worked closely with the client for a month leading up to the event, as well as with the in-house equipment supplier.

The initial task in hand was to build on the in-house lighting and sound rigs to make them more appropriate for this event. A re-design to cater for additional stages and acts was implemented throughout the venue, with special notice paid to the features installed by Invisible Blue to really ‘theme’ the event.

Imagine Believe then worked alongside the show director and choreographer to ensure sound effects, videos, cameras and lighting were all in keeping with the period cabaret-style show. Tight schedule meant that preparation was essential, and Imagine Believe designers and operators worked together in pre-plotting the entire show using the GrandMA 3D visualiser, before joining their own stage management and production team on site for the event.

Raising a substantial amount of money for Comic Relief, the event was an outstanding success.

"As always, your management of the event was a trouble free area and your creative lighting design really turned the show into a spectacular! Please pass on my thanks to your crew - nothing was too much for them and I really felt their commitment to making the event work."
